Guadalupe Island Eco-Adventure on the Dive Boat Horizon June 15-19, 2008 $1450pp
Guadalupe Island is one of the most exciting dive destinations in the
world - and the Horizon has been taking divers there since 1994 - they
know the lay of the land! This beautiful island is 210 miles south of
the Horizon's home port of San Diego.
Encounter schools of grouper, jack mackerel,
with a little luck, some wahoo or
yellowfin tuna!. Smaller
species include damselfish, Clarion angels, and red-tailed
triggerfish. For fans of larger animals,. almost every dive site
will give you Guadalupe fur seals, California sea lions and green
sea turtles. Encounters with northern elephant seals and the playful
Pacific bottlenose dolphin are not uncommon.
Come aboard!
La Isla Guadalupe is a remote, beautiful place, surrounded by very deep water
(up to 3000 feet!) that is temperate (65-70 degrees Fahrenheit) with visibility
often 100 feet. This is a fantastic destination for marine encounters and, or
course, photography. And this is an Optiquatics trip - try out
some new equipment, get instruction from the Optiqautics staff, and
take home some great shots. Even try out a DUI drysuit!
Trip includes: 3 days of diving, accommodations, meals, non alcoholic beverages, domestic beer/house wine, NITROX, tanks, weights, and Optiquatics Photo Seminar. |
